
Yesterday Cody and I watched the movie Julie and Julia. If you have not seen this movie I highly recommend it. I fell in love! After watching the movie I decided that I really wanted to teach myself how to cook French food, so I bought Julia Child's cookbook. Once we move into our new apartment I am going to begin trying out Julia's recipes. My goal is to document the success of each recipe that I try. Cody will be my taste tester. We set goals to be healthier this new year, but Julia's favorite ingredient is butter, so I don't think that we will have the success that we were hoping for.
Does anyone have a suggestion for the first recipe I should try from Julia's cook book? I really want to start with something easy. I was thinking about starting with her potage parmentier or onion and potato soup. This is the same recipe Julie started with and she claimed it was easy. I guess I will soon find out.
